A great event for those want to try triathlon for the first time or simply want to enjoy the Challenge Family race atmosphere.
Try, Sprint and Olympic races and the free Kids Aquathon on the Saturday as part of ChallengeForAll. Challenge has a reputation internationally of promoting participation in triathlon for newcomers, kids and women in sport.
We are following this lead, by hosting a small but special event on Saturday 25th June at Rinville, Oranmore.
These events give Athletes who are aspiring for the longer distance Sunday races an opportunity to experience what a Challenge branded event is like. These events are all about the Challenge experience.
The TYR 250km swim is in the coastal inlet south of Galway Bay Golf Resort – close to Oranmore. A sheltered bay, regularly used for training by local triathletes. Using local knowledge, we have chosen the site that provides the most predictable and manageable sea conditions, while still providing enough space to deliver the event at scale.
The Bike Course exits Rinville Park and heads towards Marshals Park and middle third and onto Gurrane turning left in Clarenbridge onto the N18 to Oranmore turning left Beech Grove and onto Marree Road and straight into Rinville.
The run route is based with the Rinville Park. The run will bring athletes through forest trails with spectacular views. A run that brings athletes back to nature.
